OS Demonstrator
A total of four HD sequences to illustrate the benefits of using the various services that Ordnance Survey have to offer in the field of retail, housing, insurance and wind farming.
Role
I worked closely with the agency MGA, who were responsible for the scripts and storyboards, in order to ensure I brought their overall vision to life.
The sequence called for a layering effect, which was achieved using the recently updated 3D engine within After Effects. This allowed a simplified work flow as the need for using a separate 3D package was avoided. Editing was performed in Premiere Pro, and advantage was taken of the ability to import After Effects compositions directly into the time line without the need for pre rendering.
During the project the client also requested the animated intro to be supplied as a separate clip to used in all subsequent video materials they produce.
